How to lose money

Around this time last year, I picked up a coffee habit from the market risk uncles.

This was an outlet we frequented. It is a local take of a local take of a local take on coffee.

There are two counters: one to place your order at (left), and the other to collect it from (right).

Except there is no way of knowing which is which.

In my time there, I witnessed at least 3 different individuals waste minutes in the wrong line. It almost always ends in fustration.

Maybe management thought: “if you finance types are smart enough to figure out derivative pricing for butterfly options, surely you can figure out which queue is which?”
